Advanced Pistol: Performance Under Stress
The Advanced Pistol course is designed for serious students committed to continuous skill refinement in armed self-defense. Moving beyond the fundamentals, this ongoing weekly class focuses on decision-making, speed, accuracy and precision under pressure, and the complex integration of the firearm into real-world protective scenarios.
This course is structured to provide consistent training, combining advanced dry-fire techniques with tactical live-fire application.
Course Structure & Content
Weekly Curriculum: Tuesdays, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM Indoor & Range Day last Sunday Time TBD
- 30 Minute Warm-up Advanced Dry-Fire Drills: Students will focus on advanced hands-on gun handling, disarming an attacker, retaining your pistol under attack, stressful situations, movement, target discrimination, and scenario role-playing. Keep all skills from Phases 1-4 fresh and continually improving.
- 1 hour Scenario-Based Self-Defense Training: Advanced concepts, tactics and strategy, practice decision-making under stress, verbal command and de-escalation, force-on-force concepts, managing threats in close quarters and so much more.
- 1 Range Day per month, includes advanced drills that build on the topics covered during the month of in-class training
- Ammunition Requirement: Students must supply 200 rounds of ammunition per month for the live-fire session.
Prerequisites (Mandatory)
This is an advanced-level course. Enrollment requires the successful completion of the entire Practical Pistol Course Series offered by Urban Defense Academy:

Students who have not completed the required prerequisite courses will not be permitted to enroll.

Meets every Tuesday from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

Tuition and Commitment Terms
Please review our commitment terms prior to enrollment:
- Monthly Tuition: Your tuition will be billed automatically each month on the date agreed upon during your enrollment.
- Automatic Renewal: For your convenience, your membership automatically renews monthly. Should you wish to cancel, you must provide written 30-day notice according to our Cancellation Policy.
- Scheduled Closures: Holidays, staff training days, and other scheduled closures are already factored into your monthly tuition cost. We do not offer discounts or alter monthly tuition during these periods.
- Policy: No Make-Ups & Non-Refundable Fees. Once your training time is reserved, dedicated resources and instructor availability are immediately committed to that specific slot. For this reason, no make-ups are offered for missed classes, and all course fees are considered final and non-refundable once a booking is confirmed.
