Are you looking to learn martial arts and master the 6ft stick? The Roshaku Bo is a classical martial weapon, historically used in Japan. The traditional techniques were originally developed and used on the battlefields of ancient Japan.
In this class we will explore the use of the Roshaku Bo (6ft stick) against the sword wielder. The term Roshaku Bo, literally translated, means six-foot stick.
You will learn and practice katas and wazas. Katas are forms or individual movements with the Bo. Wazas are techniques you work with a partner. You will practice both in this class.
Our curriculum comes from the Japanese ryu ha (school) of Kukishin Ryu Bojutsu. You will learn traditional curriculum and gain understanding of practical modern use.
